Jonathan Nulty - Managing Consultant

Jonathan is a CIPFA qualified accountant with 3½ years’ consultancy experience and over 13 years experience in Local Government, in all tiers and in a variety of central and service roles - including the emergency services.

Prior to becoming an independent consultant, he was Senior Consultant with IPF Limited (the commercial arm of CIPFA) working with public sector organisations in areas such as shared services (for frontline and back-office), service and financial management reviews, value-for-money studies, local government reorganisation and business case development.

Before that, he was a Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ public sector consultancy practice for two years – focusing on the development of Strategic Partnerships and other innovative methods of service delivery. His local government career culminated with the role of Head of Performance Management & Support for Adur District Council. In this role, he was instrumental in project managing, developing and establishing the PAWS (Partnering Adur and Worthing Services) partnership – a strategic service-delivery partnership (SSP) pathfinder and now a high profile example of collaborative working.

Jonathan is experienced in performance management, project and programme management, policy development, and sourcing and bidding for external funding . He has extensive financial accounting experience and has specialised knowledge in partnerships. He is a seasoned presenter and facilitator and has spoken at events and seminars for PwC, PSNet, ODPM and House Magazine.
