Trevor has had a career in local government which started in the car parks in Haringey through the committee section at Epping Forest District Council, to the local government finance teams at the Association of County Councils and (from 1997) the Local Government Association. Before going freelance in 2006 he had experience of a wide range of local government policy areas including revenue and capital funding negotiations, transport, planning, housing, and majoring in his latter years at the LGA in local government improvement.
Since leaving the LGA to become freelance consultant, Trevor has done work for a range of public sector organisations and local authorities, including the City of Westminster, Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark Borough Councils, Forest Heath District Council, LACORS, and Local Government Employers. He also works as an associate consultant, regularly contributing briefings on major government consultation papers and announcements.
Trevorís key strengths are in policy and statistical analysis and writing well argued, persuasive (and above all readable) reports. In his spare time he is a Town Councillor in Norfolk and helps to run a local community bus service.
